The Institute is recognized as Schedule-I Environmental Auditor by Gujarat Pollution Control Board (GPCB), Gandhinagar. The Institute has established “Centre for Environmental Research” & “Civil Material Testing and Consultancy Cell” to initiate activities in the field of environmental pollution control, bio-fuel and rural technology, civil material testing etc. e.g. biomass gasification, bio-gas, municipal solid waste, etc.

Institute is associated with industries folling in schedule-I to evaluate Environmental Management System (EMS). Further, Institute has initiated efforts towards establishment of Centre of Excellence in the field of Biofuels and Renewable energy sources.
